ShotNest reflects the schedule you enter. Your prescription, medication instructions, and licensed clinician remain the source of truth.
What makes a reminder useful?
A useful reminder is clear, timely, and easy to act on. ShotNest schedules optional local notifications on your iPhone from the routine you set in the app. The reminder does not require an advertising profile or a ShotNest account.
Notification delivery still depends on iOS settings, Focus modes, device state, and permissions. Keep another dependable method for medication timing if missing a reminder could affect your care.
Apple Health access is optional and specific
Apple’s HealthKit framework lets apps request access to particular categories of Health data. You choose whether to grant access, and iOS presents read and write permissions separately where applicable.
ShotNest requests only the Health access needed for the feature you choose to use. You can review or change Health permissions in iOS. Turning off or deleting ShotNest does not automatically remove information already saved in Apple Health.
A limited Apple Watch snapshot
When available and enabled, the paired Watch experience receives a limited, read-only snapshot needed to show timely routine information. It is not a second store of your complete ShotNest history, and it cannot replace the iPhone app’s records or your medication instructions.
Read the full data explanation in the Privacy Policy or visit Support for answers about accounts, local records, iCloud Sync, Apple Health, Watch data, and deletion.
Important boundaries
ShotNest does not prescribe medication, verify that a dose is appropriate, or provide urgent safety alerts. Never rely on a notification, Apple Health entry, or estimated medication level to decide whether or how to take a medication.
If your schedule changes, a dose is missed, or you are unsure what to do, follow the medication instructions and contact a licensed clinician or pharmacist.
